SYNOPSIS

1956’da Atina’da dünyaya geldi. Atina’da ekonomi, Paris’te sinema okudu. Aralarında “Avgi” (1975-1985), “Contemporary Cinema” ve “Anti”nin de bulunduğu çeşitli gazete ve dergilerde film eleştirmeni olarak çalıştı. “The Best-Sellers Case” (1980) ve “The Horizon Line” (1992) isimli dört kitap yayımladı. Stavros Tsiolis’in “About Santa Claus” ve Nikos Panagiotopoulos’un “The Woman Who Dreamed” filmlerinde ortak yazarlık yaptı. 80’lerin ortasında “Terrace” (1984) ve “Theatre” (1986) isimki kısa filmlerle başladığı yönetmenlik hayatına, “Olga Robards” (1989) ve Selanik Film Festivali’nde En İyi Yönetmen seçildiği “Parakalo, gynaikes, mi klaite ...” (1992) adlı uzun filmleri ile devam etti. 1993’te Atina’da yaşama veda etti.

HRISTOS VAKALOPOULOS

He studied economics in Athens and film in Paris. He has worked as a film critic for the newspaper “Avgi” (1975-1985) and in the magazines “Contemporary Cinema,” and “Anti”. He has published the books “The Best-Sellers Case” (1980), “The Graduates” (1984), “New Athenian Stories” (1988) and “The Horizon Line” (1992). Co-screenwriter of Stavros Tsiolis’s “About Santa Claus” and Nikos Panagiotopoulos’s “The Woman Who Dreamed”. He directed the short feature films “Terrace” (1984) and “Theatre” (1986) and the long feature “Olga Robards” (1989). In 1993 he co-wrote and co-directed with Stavros Tsiolis the feature film “Please women, don’t cry”
